For Exit Zone:
Exit delay is a period of time allowed for a user to leave a surveillance area without a making false
alarm. The intention is to give users / installer enough time to leave the surveillance area after the
digital video recorder is armed. Users / installer can alter the delay time for each alarm.
Note: If recording action is enabled, it is automatically activated if any alarm is triggered during exit
delay
A detailed description is shown below:
1. User arms the system
2. Alarm exit delay is enabled
3. The first trigger is made by Alarm 1 (i.e. user reaches alarm 1 first)
4. Alarm 2,3 and 4 are triggered respectively and the exit delay starts separately for each alarm
5. User turns on the security switch – if security switch is used. The alternative is to wait for all
exit delays of all alarms to expire.
For example, if the time needed to leave the surveillance area is about 8 minutes, user should
adjust the delay time so that Delay 1 = leaving time between the digital video recorder and Alarm
1, Delay 2 = leaving time between digital video recorder and Alarm 2, Delay 3 = leaving time
between digital video recorder server and Alarm 3 and Delay 4 should be 8 minutes. Any event will
cause alert after exit delay has expired.
