Disarmed
If the system is disarmed, alarm and motion events will not trigger the sensor except when the
sensor is a fire zone alarm, or when there is an arm/disarm tamper. If there are operators in the
surveillance area, it is usually disarmed.
Arm/Disarm Mode
TeleEye GN8 supports 3 different modes of arm/disarm operation:

Hardware: Use Arm input to arm/disarm, suitable for local operation
•
Software: Use software to arm/disarm, suitable for remote operation
•
Schedule: Follow preset schedule to arm/disarm, suitable for unmanned location
The security switch is not applicable under software and schedule mode.
There are 2 types of arm schedules:
Normal Schedule
Users can set the arm periods by day. The system would
arm according to this weekly schedule.
Holiday Schedule
Users can schedule arm/disarm for holidays. If a holiday
schedule is set, it will follow the holiday schedule instead
of the normal schedule.
Physical Configuration for Arm/Disarm
The arm/disarm input and ground of TeleEye GN8 HD Digital Video Recorder needs to connect to a
control unit which is usually a switch or a password panel used for arm/disarm input.
