10. Maintenance

Metering for the

seed.

Obstruction by seeds.

Set the deflector to a higher position.

Excessive working speed.

Ideal speed:

5 to 8 Km/h.

Too may skips.

Seed mixed with straw.

Use clean seeds.

Debris on the distributor.

Check the chute and the seed tube output.

Bad spacing.

Seeds deviation.

Check the chute metering and the seed

tube output.

Distributors activation failure. Check the system to confirm if the chains

are in good conditions and well lubricated.

Seeds in contact with the

seed and chute outlet.

Be sure that the seed hopper is positioned

in a way that the metering release the

seeds on the center of the seed tube.

Lack of graphite.

Be sure that the graphite is being used and

being mixed on the seed hoppers.

Double discs not

turning.

The disc bearing is locked. Change the bearing and lubricate.

Stuck discs.

Very wet soil.

Do not perform the sowing on wet soils.

Excessive

sowing depth.

Badly adjusted depth limiters. Adjust them properly.

Fertilizer

irregular
