10. Maintenance

Unaligned double discs maintenance

Cleaning the large seeds hopper

Periodically, it is necessary to perform a maintenance in the unaligned double discs,

following the instructions below:

- Maintenance period: At every 500 sowed

hectares, approximately;

- Remove the protective hubcap (A) by loosening

the fixation bolts;

- Wash the hub with diesel oil or kerosene to

remove the old grease;

- Check if there is any clearance on the bearings.

If necessary, adjust them by the castle nut;

- Put new grease in the inner part of the hubs

along with the bearings, as well as in the hubcap

reservoir;

- Assemble the hubcaps again, tightening the

bolts.

When equipped with horizontal

metering system.

It is necessary to carry out a

general cleaning on the seed system

daily. In order to do so, just remove the

plate and observe the functioning of

the metering hopper. By doing so, you

can assure the best seed distribution.

NOTE

- When using graphite or inoculated/treated seeds, it is necessary to clean the system

twice a day.
