Enabling/Disabling the 22kHz Signal
A satellite antenna system receiving digital channels has to switch the polarity
(horizontal/vertical) and the frequency band (low/high). Universal LNBs do this
automatically: there is no setting you need to perform. Therefore this function is not
available for Universal LNBs.
If you have a satellite antenna with a LNB requiring the 22kHz signal for switching, select
Antenna Setting from the Installation menu (see page 49) and press on the remote
control.
Older satellite antenna systems do not use the 22kHz signal for switching the
frequency band but for switching different satellite positions.

Select the menu option 22kHz using the

Select the menu option ON or OFF
using the or buttons.

settings, or press to cancel the
process.
DiSEqC
DiSEqC means "Digital Satellite Equipment Control". While older satellite
antenna system use the 22kHz signal for feed-switching (multiple satellite
positions) and later for frequency switching, DiSEqC is a new standard for
different status switching. The DiSEqC standard is available in different levels:
from Level 1.2 DiSEqC allows you to control rotor units. The TSR 5200 HDD
supports this technology.
Select Antenna Setup from the Installation menu (see page 49) and press on the
remote control.
