High-capacity Input Feeder (HCIF)

Installation

WARNING!

Your printer weighs approximately 77 lbs (35 kg) with consumables. Be
sure to have help when lifting and moving it.

Remove the HCIF from the shipping
carton, and place it on a table or flat
surface near the printer.

Remove any tape and packing mate-
rial from the HCIF.

strongly

suggest that you

save the packaging materials
in case you ever need to
move or ship the printer.

Slide open the top media tray until it stops.

Using two hands, lift it slightly to remove it from the printer.

Remove any shipping tape and spacers.

Repeat for the lower media tray.

Turn off the printer, and then
disconnect the power cord and all interface cables from the printer.

With another person’s help, lift
the printer.

Do not tilt it more than 10° in
any direction at any time.
