4. If you have drilled a hole through the firewall
orother sheet metal, insert a snap-in bushing to
protect the wire.
5. Run the wire from inside the cab to the battery.
6. Strip 1/4 in. (0.64 cm) of insulation from the end of
the power wire or the extension wire.
7. Attach a fuse link to the stripped end of the wire
using a crimped splice. If necessary, crimp a 3/8
in. terminal ring onto the free end of the fuse link.
8. Remove the bolt from the battery’s positive (+)
terminal.
9. Replace the bolt with a 3/8 x 1 1/2 in. bolt.
