g i ves a s n u g fit. The shou lder on the pi l ot
s h o u l d be about 1 0 m m (0. 39 i n ) from the va lve
gu ide.

2. U s i n g the 45° cutter, desca l e and clea n u p the

seat with one or two tu rns.

3. I nspect the seat by the previ ous seat width

m easurement proced u re. I f the seat is pitted o r
b u rned , add i t i o n a l seat cond ition i n g w i t h the

45° cutter is req u i red .
