F i l l u p t h e master cy l i nder reservoi r t o t h e
u pper e n d o f t h e i nspect i o n wi ndow. R e p l ace
the reservo i r cap to p revent entry of d i rt.

Attach a p i pe to the b l eeder va lve, and i n sert the
other end of the p i pe i nto a recepta c l e co nta i n
i ng a s ma l l a mo u nt of brake f l u i d . M ake s u re
that the end of the p i pe is kept s u b merged i n the
brake f l u id . This wi l l keep air fro m be i ng d rawn
back in the b rake system d u r i ng the b l eed i ng
operation .
•
S q u eeze and re l ease the brake l ever seve ra l ti mes
in rap i d succession, and sq u eeze the l ever f u l l y
without rel easi ng it. Loose n the b l eed er va lve
by tu r n i ng it a q u a rter of a turn o r so that
brake f l u id ru ns i nto the recepta c l e; th is w i l l
rem ove the te nsion of the brake l eve r cau s i ng it
to touch th e h a n d l eba rs g r i p . Then, c l ose the
va lve, p u m p a n d sq u eeze the l ever, a n d open the
va lve. R epeat th is p rocess u nt i l the fl u id f l owi ng
i nto the recepta c l e no l o nger co nta i n s a i r b u b
b l es.
N OT E :
Replenish the brake fluid reservoir as neces
sary while bleeding the brake system.
Make sure that there is always some fluid
visible in the reservoir.
