6-13 Installing the Air Shroud
Air Shrouds
Air shrouds concentrate airfl ow to maximize fan effi ciency. The F424AG chassis
requires an air shroud in each serverboard node.
Installing the Air Shroud
1. Remove the power cord from the rear of the node as described in Section
6-3. Remove the node from the chassis as described in Section 6-4. Place
the node on a fl at, stable surface and remove the node cover as described in
Section 6-7.
2. Make sure that the serverboard and all components are properly installed in
each serverboard node.
3. Place the air shroud over the serverboard, as illustrated below. The air shroud
sits behind the hard drive bays and goes over the top of the serverboard and
its components.
4. Repeat the procedure for the remaining three serverboard nodes.
