SSxDSL-5 IDSL Module

B.  At COMMAND, select the message to send. To loopback 

the  full  2B+D  (144k)  pipe,  select  LOOP2BD  (F3).  After 
selecting the proper message, press F1 to send.

C.  Watch the receive command at the bottom of the screen 

(RX COMMAND). When the repeater loops up, the message 
should be displayed. If not, the repeater has not successfully 
looped up.

6.  After looping the repeater, run a BER test to check for bit errors. 

Press ESC and select BERT AND RESULTS. The PAT SYNC 
LED should be green, indicating that the test set has achieved 
pattern synchronization. If the test runs clean and there are no 
errors, the entire 2B1Q span has been verified. If the test set 
is recording bit errors, return to the EOC CONTROL screen 
and try looping each U-repeater on the span to sectionize the 
fault.

7.  When finished testing the NT1, loop it down and return it to 

the normal state. Enter EOC CONTROL then at COMMAND, 
select NORMAL (F2) and press SEND (F1). Always remember 
to send a NORMAL command when finished testing.
