SSxDSL-5 IDSL Module

•  0-63: Fixed TEI assignment
•  64-126: Automatic TEI assignment
•  127: Group TEI for broadcast data link connection
NS: Send sequence number of the message.
NR: Receive sequence number of the message.
L2 MSGTYPE: I: Layer 2 message type. These messages are:
•  DM: Disconnect Mode
•  DISC: Disconnect
•  FRMR: Frame Reject
•  I: Information
•  RR: Receive Ready
•  RNR: Receive Not Ready
•  REJ: Reject
•  SABME: Set Asynchronous Balanced Mode Extended
•  UA: Unnumbered Acknowledgment
•  UI: Unnumbered Information
•  XID: Exchange Identification
L3 MSGTYPE: Displays the layer 3 messages associated with 
Call Control. Table 2 shows the layer 3 messages.

Table 2   L3 Message Type-X25 Packet Testing

The screen contains the following F-keys:
PREVIUS  (F1):  Displays  the  previous  message.  If  the  current 
message displayed is the first trace, the last trace is displayed.
NEXT (F2): Displays the next message meeting the filtering cri-
teria. If the current message displayed is the last message, the 
first message is displayed.
HEX/DECODE (F3): Toggles between hexadecimal and decode 
display format. The trace is decoded by default when entering the 
Current Trace-View screen.
