1 IDSL Module

1.1 Test Set LEDs

SSMTT-ACM, -ACM+, -EX

SSMTT-B, -C

Figure 1 Test Set LED Panels

The following test set LEDs shown in Figure 1 are used. Note if
an LED is blinking, press HISTORY to clear.

MODULE
• Green: Test set is in module mode.

SIGNAL
• Green: The test set is receiving valid signal at the proper inter-

face. For example, if the test set is configured for U interface
testing, this is green to indicate it is receiving a signal at the
U interface.

• Red: It is red when the test set is not receiving a signal.

LP 1 SYNC
• Green: Layer 1 frame synchronization is established. For ISDN

testing it blinks green when Layer 1 frame sync is established,
but the SPIDs have not yet been initialized. It is solid green
once the SPIDs have been accepted.

• Red: No frame synchronization has been established.

FRAME
• Green: the test set is receiving a valid signal and has acquired

frame synchronization on the external clock signal.

• Red: The test set is not detecting the external clock signal at

the interface. See External Clock Signal.

ERRORS
• Red: The test set is currently detecting an error. For S/T In-

terface testing, this could be a Frame error. For U interface
testing, this could be NEBE or FEBE errors.

• Blinking Red: The test set has previously detected an error,

but that error is no longer present.
