SSxDSL-5 IDSL Module

2.3   ISDN-BRI

With option SWxDSL-5BRIN and/or SWxDSL-5BRIE, the module 
provides basic call setup testing. See 

Section 3.2

 for the procedure 

on placing a basic rate call from a U interface.
This menu screen contains:

Configure the following for ISDN-BRI testing:

MODE
Options: TE/NT1 (F1), TE-S/T (F2)
•  TE/NT1: Use to emulate TE and NT1 devices. In this mode, 

the test set is configured to connect at the 2-wire U interface 
facing the network switch (LT) using the modules U-2B1Q port 
as in top illustration of Figure 15.

•  TE-S/T: Use for testing at the 4-wire S/T interface. In this, the 

test set emulates the TE device and connects to the NT1 using 
the modules S/T port as in the bottom illustration of Figure 15.
