Replacing the Diskette Drive Data Cable
Assembly

1. Position the diskette drive data cable assembly into the chassis (

2. Close the two cable routing clips (

FIGURE 6-2

3. Connect the diskette drive data cable assembly connectors to the following:

■

Riser board (J9)

■

Diskette drive

Note –

Ensure that the cable assembly connectors are properly oriented by aligning

the connector keys.

4. If you moved the fan assembly, replace it. See Section 6.4.2 “Replacing the Fan

Assembly” on page 6-17.

5. Detach the wrist strap, replace the system cover, and power on the system as

described in Chapter 9 “Finishing Component Replacement.”
