Product Specifications

A.1

Physical Characteristics

The physical characteristics of the expansion cabinet are as follows:

■

Internal dimensions conform to EIA RS-310C standard (RETMA) for 19-inch
(482 mm) racks. Universal mounting holes are used with 10-32UNF tapped holes
in all locations. The nominal rack opening is 17.875 inches (454 mm).

■

A vertical panel opening of 36 Rack Unit (RU) minimum is provided to
accommodate various rack-mountable subsystems. One RU is equal to 1.75 inches
(44.45 mm).

■

Overall cabinet height with cosmetic panels is 73.5 inches (187 cm) maximum.

■

Cabinet structure and casters are designed to handle a 1300 pounds (589 kg) static
load.
