For ease of installation when fully loading the system, fill slot 11 first, then work
outward, filling each odd-numbered slot, alternating from left-to-right (first fill slot
11, then slot 9, then slot 13, and so on). Once all of the odd-numbered slots have
been filled, begin filling each even-numbered slot, starting with slot 10 and
alternating from left-to-right (first fill slot 10, then slot 8, then slot 12, and so on).
Caution – Processor boards might contain a socketed lithium battery. This battery is
not a field-replaceable unit. There is a danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly
replaced or handled. Do not disassemble or recharge the battery. Do not dispose of
the battery in fire. When the battery is replaced, the same type or an equivalent type
recommended by the manufacturer must be used. Used batteries must be disposed
of according to the manufacturer's instructions. Return the processor board to the
manufacturer for battery service.
5.3.1 Removing a Node Board Set
Following are the instructions for removing a node board and, if necessary, the
accompanying rear transition card.
5.3.1.1 Removing a Node Board
1. Disengage the ejector to notify software that the board is about to be removed,
and wait for the hot-swap LED to light.

all other node boards, refer to the documentation that came with your board for the
location of the hot-swap LED.
