Tightening torques
Tightening torques can be obtained from the dimensional drawing, see section 4.3.

Requirements for the connecting components
The following requirements for the connecting components must be fulfilled:
• Shape and condition of the connecting components must comply with the dimensional drawing, see sec-
• The alignment tolerances must be fulfilled, see section 6.3.2.
6.4
Assembling the brake
CAUTION
Risk of accidents caused by components being ejected
By installing unsuitable screws, pins and fitting keys of insufficient strength, components may be
slung out during rotation. Components being slung out may cause injuries to people.
► Only use screws, pins and fitting keys of the specified size and strength.
► Only use the specified liquid screw locking agent.
► Observe the tightening torques.
Before assembly of the brake, the installation location of the brake must be thoroughly cleaned.
During assembly, measures such as assembly control measures or distance dimensions, for e.g. axial and radi-
al alignment accuracy according to the dimensional drawing, see section 4.3, must be observed. Should these
dimensions lie outside the defined tolerances, the assembly process must be stopped and Stromag’s Customer
Care, see section 11.2, must be informed in order to avoid damage to the brake.
6.4.1
Fitting and securing the brake
Connecting the
brake to the hy-
draulic motor
1. Slide the brake as a unit onto the engine shaft.
The brake centres itself to the adjacent structure.
2. Therefore it should be ensured that if present, the
leak line connection (L) faces downwards.
3. Tightly screw the brake to the hydraulic motor (101)
with the motor fixing screws (102).
