In the event that an additional ignition hazard is created by combining use of the brake with other units, this
combination must be re-evaluated according to the guideline, and any ignition sources must be suppressed.
Special reference is made to possible residual risks in the following.
2.6.1
Mechanical dangers
Danger posed by destruction of the brake and parts ejected from the device as a result of:
• Defective assembly
• Operating the device outside of the application limits
• Using screws, pins or similar that do not have sufficient strength
• use of unsuitable spare parts and spare parts that have not been approved by the manufacturer.
Danger posed by rotating parts as a result of:
• Operation without separating safety device or housing.
2.6.2
Thermal dangers
Danger posed by contact with hot surfaces/components when:
• Working on the brake
• Performing work on the brake without personal protective equipment

mentation.

Warning symbols
Required safety guidelines are indicated in the documentation through pictograms and in addition begin with
