4.3 Dimensional drawing
NOTE
Stromag would like to emphasise that users should refer to the dimensional drawing for all technical
details, including: dimensions, weights, tolerances, tightening torques, and any other technical specifi-
cations and units required for assembly, such as securing equipment and lubricants.
Should this information be necessary during assembly, a reference will be made in the dimensional
drawing at the respective point in this documentation.
A dimensional drawing is supplied as a separate document and can also be requested from Stro-
mag's Customer Care. For this, the same product data is required as when ordering spare parts.
4.3.1 Tightening torques
CAUTION
Danger of accident due to lubrication of the screw connections
The tightening torques listed in the dimensional drawings refer to the dry or lightly oiled condition of
the screw connection (coefficient of friction µges = 0,14).
Additional lubrication of the thread and the screw head support surfaces causes a considerable
change to the coefficient of friction and results in tightening conditions which could destroy the screw
connection.
The screw connection of the components is dimensioned in such a way that the contact surfaces of
screwed components must be clean, dry and free of lubricants. Defective screw connections may
lead to parts loosening, being slung away and severe or fatal injuries.
► Only assemble the screw connections in a dry or lightly oiled condition.
► Do not lubricate thread and screw head support surfaces.
► Make sure that contact surfaces of screwed components are dry, clean and free of lubricants.
CAUTION
Risk of accidents due to defective screw connections
Defective screw connections may lead to parts loosening, being slung away and severe or fatal inju-
ries.
► Guidelines of the machine or engine manufacturer for the screw connection with the brake must be
adhered to.
► Only use screws of the required size, strength and quantity.
► Observe the tightening torque.
► Only use the specified liquid screw locking agent.
► Make sure that contact surfaces of screwed components are dry, clean and free of lubricants.
The tightening torques for the screws can be obtained from the dimensional drawing, see section 4.3.
4.4 Marking on the product
The following data can be found on the brake:
• Order reference no.
• Type series and size
• Delivery date month/year
• Article code
