Sect. 6.6 HYDRAULIC OIL TOP-UP
The hydraulic oil tank is supplied with 2 level indicators:
1 oil level indicator, 1 in fig. 1, for DS machine with cutter;
1 oil level indicator, 2 in fig. 1, for MT machine.
When the oil level drops below the MIN position, it needs to be
topped up until the MAX position.
Remove the oil plug to fill oil (A, Fig. 2) and then put it back in
position after the correct oil level is restored.
Sect. 6.6.1 HYDRAULIC OIL REPLACEMENT
To replace the hydraulic oil (see summary service table: the
first time after 100 working hours, then every 800 hours), proceed
as follow:
- drain exhaust oil into a suitable recipient;
- remove the fill plug (A, Fig. 2) and drain plug (B, Fig. 3)
and let
the oil drain completely;
- dispose of oil according to local regulations in force;
- fit the plug B back (Fig. 3);
- start filling new oil according to the summary service table.
When oil level is on MAX indicator filling is completed;
- fit the plug A back.

Sect. 6.6.2 HYDRAULIC OIL FILTER CLEANING
Take out the filter cartridge located on the hydraulic oil tank: wash it with diesel and blow it with compressed
air after the first 50 hours of operation and then every 250/500 hours (refer to the summary service table for the
intervals).
PROCEDURE:
1. Loosen the screws (1, fig. 1) without removing them.
2. Turn the cover (A) clockwise and hold it down.
NOTE: Take care not to lose the spring under the cover.
3. Remove cover A with the spring and take out the filter
(cartridge order number 99009403).
4. Clean it with diesel and blow it with compressed air.
5. Put the cartridge back in place with care by holding the spring housing up: fit
the spring back followed by the cover.
6. Hold the cover down and turn it anticlockwise to fit the screws.
7. Turn the screws (1) down.
