3.5 STEERABLE NOSE GEAR

STEERABLE NOSE GEAR DESCRIPTION

The steerable nose gear is bolted to the engine cradle; a removable bracket on the top is
connected to the rudder pedals with two bars with adjustable end bearing. Two springs fixed to the
pedals, also adjustable, keep in flight, the nose wheel straight when the wheel fairing is installed. A
series of shock absorber are installed to the gear strut to cushion. The rubber shock absorbers
must be replaced every 400 hours heavy landing excepted. the lubrication of the visual parts must
be done every 100 hours to the inside strut and the bushing every 500 hours.

NOTE

: Protect the rubber shock absorber from grease and lubricant.

The nose gear wheels have 4 x 4.00" x 6 tires that must be inflated to a pressure of 26 p.s.i. (1,8
bar).
