2.9 ENGINE – NACELLE – LANDING GEAR INSPECTION
C. ENGINE PARTS AND NACELLE INSPECTION
01 Engine unit - check if there are evident oil, fuel and hydraulic fluid leaks and determine
the reasons for such leaks
02 Stud bolts and nuts – check if driving torque correct and inspect for possible loosening
03 Inside part of the engine – check cylinder compression and make sure that there are no
metallic particles or foreign matters on filters and on the fuel trap caps (if compression is
low, make sure that the inside conditions are normal and that the inside tolerances are
correct)
04 Engine fastenings – inspect for possible cracks and for missing fastenings; check
support loosening
05 Elastic vibration dampers – check if in bad conditions or damaged
06 Engine controls – check possible faults, if the stroke is correct (unsuitable regulation)
and if brakings are correct.
07 Hoses – pipes and clamps – check possible leaks, deterioration and loosening
08 Exhaust pipes – check possible cracks, faults and wrong fastening
09 Accessories – check if there are evident assembly faults.
10 All systems – check correct installation, verify general conditions and make sure there
are no faults and unsafe fastenings
11 Cowlings – check if there are cracks and faults

01 Check conditions and safe fastening of all components
02 Hydraulic lines – inspect for possible leaks
03 Wheels – check if there are cracks or faults, check bearing conditions
04 Tires – check if worn, cut or abraded.
