11. Install part S1c to center section of wing as illustrated below:
12. Install turbulators in the slots provided through ribs R1-R6.
13. Glue part TE3c (1/32” Ply) to underside of wing atop TE3 spar cap – this ply support will prevent your wing
mounting nuts from pulling through the balsa. (
ERRATA! Some kits may have this part mis-labled as TE2a.)
14. Invert wing so it rests on the jig-tabs and spar. Check to be certain that it sits flat on your building board.
Remove warps (if found) by lightly misting with glass cleaner, positioning weights over wing to hold it flat to the
table, and allowing it to completely dry. With wing flat on building board re-visit each tack-glued joint with glue –
wicking ample glue along each surface joint.
15. Remove jig-tabs from ribs using a sharp razor blade.
16. Sand leading edge – round to match shape of airfoil.
17. Prior to covering the wing test fit to the wing saddle of the fuselage – sand to fit if necessary.
