5.19 Relay Fault Mask – RFM
The relay fault mask command is used to activate the fault relay and RTS line when a specified
fault occurs.
The relay fault mask command comes in the following formats:
RFM This form of the command queries the current RFM value. The
response will indicate all of the faults that will activate the relay.
This display is the same form as the text display of the SS or SF
commands.
RFM # This form of the command queries the current RFM value in its
numeric form (in decimal).
RFM value This form of the command sets the faults that will activate the fault
relay (located on the new motherboard’s AUX connector) and the
RTS line of the M&C port. This value is a 32 bit decimal value of
all of the faults to activate the relay.
The relay fault mask value is a sum total of all of the faults that will activate the relay. Table 7
shows the decimal values of the individual faults. The value to set RFM is a total of all the
faults’ values. For example, to activate the relay when an acquisition failure or a nv read failure
occurs you add their values (4+1=5) and would set the RFM value to 5. This command was
added in version 3.51.
