The EBNO event (5*, above) is reported differently from other events. In LOG 3 mode, the
event will be displayed as “EBNO XXX” where XXX is the signal strength without the decimal
point. For example, if the signal strength was 10.3 dB, the event in LOG 3 would be displayed
as “EBNO 103”.
In LOG 2 mode the event type is computed using the following equation:
event type = EB
×
256 + 5
So a signal strength of 10.5 dB would be reported as:
= 105
×
256 + 5 = 26885.

Load Parameter Block - LPB
The
LPB command takes critical receiver settings stored in flash memory and overwrites the
current settings in non-volatile memory. This command is used to restore a default
configuration that was saved with the
SPB command.
The following parameters are restored from flash memory upon issuing the
LPB command
(corresponding commands are shown in
bold):
Current Satellite Frequency:
RF
Current Data Rate:
DR
Fall back Carrier:
FBC
Port Parameters:
SP
Provider:
SP X,P
Service:
SP X,S
Type:
SP X,T
Anc. Data Mode:
SP X,ANC
Anc. Data Baud Rate:
SP X,BAUD
Current Multiplexer ID:

Monitor and Control Port Settings - MC
The
MC command is used to query or configure the Monitor and Control Interface settings. The
format of the command is
MC baud, parity, data, stop. Table 6 lists indicate the possible
choices for each parameter:
Table 6. MC Settings
Baud
Parity
Data

300
N - None
1200
O - Odd

2400
E - Even
8

4800
M - Mark
2
9600
S - Space
19200
The port will be configured when the command is entered. The parameters are stored in non-
volatile memory. The default values are 9600, N, 8, 1. Current settings may be obtained by
query.
5.14
Changing Multiplexes - MUX
The
MUX command allows you to query or set the currently selected multiplex (carrier). The
multiplex is listed by its ID, but the multiplex’s name is listed in brackets. The receiver will list
all multiplexes of which it is aware.
