CMD DESCRIPTION ACTION BRIEF
SPB Save Parameter Block Takes critical receiver settings and stores
them in flash memory.
SS System Status
Queries the current faults.
TS Timestamp Used to keep track of events entered into
the log. Displays current value of the 32-bit
timestamp.
TZF Time Zone Feed Feature used to copy a particular channel to
both output channels based on relay
closures.
VER Software Version Used to display statistics on the currently
running software.
VR Viterbi Rate Sets or queries the Viterbi Rate.
The following sections each describe a single command that can be issued through the M&C
interface.
5.1 AGC Value – AG
The AGC value displays the demodulator’s automatic gain control voltage reading. The AGC
reading indicates how much signal is present at the input to the demodulator. This can be
helpful when trying to point/peak the satellite dish.
The
AGC command comes in the query form only:
AGC This form of the command queries the current AGC reading from
the demodulator.
5.2 Audio Mode - AM
The
AM command changes the audio output on a port-by-port basis. This command does NOT
work if the
TZF mode is set to any non-zero value since the TZF and the AM commands
manipulate the same copy/swap bits in the audio decoder.
The audio mode command comes in the following formats:
AM port This form of the command queries the audio mode set for the
specified port.
Port valid values range from “A” to “F”
AM port,mode This form of the command sets the audio mode on a specific port
to the specified value. If the TZF value is non-zero then this
command will not be executed and a “Not Available” response will
be issued.
Port: valid values range from “A” to “F”
Mode: valid values range from “0” to “3”
