NOTE
If NMEA 0183 from an External GPS Chart plotter is selected and the
HX851E is moved outside, the Pos Data Priority must be changed to
Internal GPS to compute fix.
10.10 NMEA OUTPUT
This menu item is used to setup the NMEA output sentences of the HX851E .
By default , all the NMEA sentences are turned off.
1. Press and hold the [ CALL

2. Press the [
] key to select “
GPS Setup
” menu.
3. Press the [ CALL

] key, then select
“
NMEA Output
” in the “
GPS Setup
” menu with the [

4. Press the [ CALL

ENT

] key.
5. Press the [
] / [ ] key to select the desired sen-
tence. Available sentences are “
GLL
”, “
GAA
”,
“
GSA
”, “
GSU
”, and “
RMC
”.
6. Press the [ CALL
(
ENT
)
MENU
] key, then press
the [
] / [ ] key to select “
On
” or “
Off
”.
7. Press the [ CALL
(
ENT
)
MENU
] key to store the
selected setting.
8. To exit this menu and return to radio operation mode
press the [ 16/9
] key or press the [
CLR
] key several times.
10.11 ALTITUDE UNIT
Allows selection of the units of measure of the altitude. The default setting is “ft”.
