Throttle Angle Sensor
The throttle sensor should be mounted at the position within the throttle
linkage which gives the maximum rotational movement as the throttle
angle is changed.
This can be achieved by mounting the sensor on the end of a butterfly
shaft, or by attaching the lever on the sensor to the throttle control using
a wire link.
It should be connected to the V/VS Module using a ST483 adapter
between the Throttle sensor and the sure-seal connector on the sensor
harness. This converts the voltage of the sensor to a pulse reading for
input to the V/VS module.
• Avoid mounting near sources of intense heat.
• Do not position closer than 75mm (3 inches) to ignition leads, the
distributor or engine oil.
• If possible, do not mount the sensor on the engine block, as engine
vibrations may shorten its life expectancy.
