Cause D: Pressure relief valve dirty or damaged.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press.
Cause E: Motor/pump damaged or worn out.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press. Replace
the motor/pump assembly for the Atlas™ Autotouch
8T/15T/25T Press using the Motor/Pump Assembly Kit of
parts P/N GS25882 – Press Service Procedure 2S-25882-2.
Fault 7: Pressing Piston will not retract.
Cause A: The program running on the press has become “confused”.
Remedy: Power down the press (switch off ( 1 )) and then re-power the
press (switch on ( 1 )).
Cause B: An internal fuse has blown.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press. Replace
the fuse for the Atlas™ Autotouch 8T/15T/25T Press from
the Replacement Fuse Kit of parts P/N GS25884 - Press
Service Procedure 2S-25884-2.
Fault 8: Creaking sound when load being applied and released.
Cause: Friction movement of compression spring rings.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press. Lubricate
the compression spring rings for the Atlas™ Autotouch

2S-25885-2.
Fault 9: Damage has occurred to the lead screw assembly and it
cannot be removed from the press.
Cause: Incorrect pressing of a sample.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press. Replace
the damaged lead screw assembly for the Atlas™ Autotouch
8T/15T/25T Press from the Replacement Lead Screw
