From the back view diagram of the pressing area (

protective rear safety guard (

). The rear safety guard is fixed and
cannot
be raised or lowered similar to the front guard (

). There is a
recessed cut away area (

) between the curved rear safety guard
(

) profile and the edge of the rear surface of the pressing area (

).
This cut away section allows for routing of the electrical cable
connections and water cooling feed pipes for the Atlas™ Heated
Platens P/N GS15515 if these are used and will also accommodate a
vacuum pipe supply line when connected to an evacuable pellet die.
Specific connectivity to any work to be pressed within via this rear
safety guard cut away area (

) means that the front safety guard (

)
can be kept in its down, safe position to enable press operation.
