Note
When multiple printers are connected to the system,
you must determine which of these is currently active
by printing the color-adjustment gray patch.
– [Red], [Green], [Blue]
These parameters allow you to adjust the color level.
Select a parameter from the list, touch the text box
to highlight it, and then use the keypad to type the
desired value (range: -32 to 32). To apply the value,
touch the [Apply] button.
– [Dark], [Light]
These parameters allow you to adjust the contrast
level. Select a parameter from the list, touch the text
box to highlight it, and then use the keypad to type
the desired value (range: -32 to 32). To apply the
value, touch the [Apply] button.
– [Gamma]
This parameter allows you to adjust the gamma
level. Select the parameter from the list, touch the
text box to highlight it, and then use the keypad to
type the desired value (range: -32 to 32). To apply
the value, touch the [Apply] button.
– [Sharpness]
This parameter allows you to adjust the sharpness
level. Select the parameter from the list, touch the
text box to highlight it, and then use the keypad to
type the desired value (range: 0 to 3). To apply the
value, touch the [Apply] button.
– [Gray A], [Gray B]
Input a preference number based on the color-
adjustment gray patch that is to be printed with the
[Gray Patch] function.
Note
If the connected printer is a UP-D70A, [Gray] is the
only option that will appear.
• [Gray Patch]
Touch the [Print] button to print a color-adjustment
gray patch for setting printer Gray values.
• [Calibration]
If the print color changes after exchanging the
printer or print Packs, you can use the scanner to
restore the original color of the picture.
– [Start]
Switches to the Calibration screen. Follow the steps
to perform the operation.
– [Reset]
Returns the color table to the factory settings. Use
this option when the print color is unsatisfactory
after performing calibration.
Note
Only the Epson Perfection 1660 or 4180 scanners
can be connected when performing calibration.
For details about other models, consult your dealer
or a Sony representative.
Flatbed Scanner
This setting allows you to select the TWAIN driver of
the flatbed scanner connected to the system from the
list. For details about the flatbed scanner and TWAIN
driver, contact your dealer.
– [Format]
You can select between the [JPEG] and [BMP]
formats for scanned pictures. Touching this button
switch the selection between [JPEG] and [BMP].
– [Default Scan Size]
You can select the default scan size of pictures.
Touching this button switch the selection between
the available sizes.
Note
The available sizes vary depending on your model.
– [Graphic Orientation]
You can change the guidance screen that appears
when a photo is scanned so that it matches the
scanner you are using. When you touch the [Import]
button, it takes you to the screen for installing a
guidance screen from a CD or “Memory stick”.
For details about the guidance installation, contact
your dealer.
Receipt Printer
This setting allows you to select the driver of the
receipt printer to the system from the list. For details
about the receipt printer and driver, contact your
dealer.
– [Width]
Touch this button to select the width of the paper set
into the receipt printer. Touching this button allows
you to select [2inch] or [3inch].
– [Print Queue]
Touch the [Delete] button to delete data waiting to
be sent to the receipt printer.
Diagnostics
– [Run] button
Touch this button to perform a diagnostic of the unit
and peripheral devices that are connected / powered
on.
