Recording
Recording the Programme
You are Watching
This section introduces the basic operation to
record the current TV programme to the hard disk
(HDD). This recorder can record two TV
programmes at the same time and up to 250 titles
can be saved to the HDD, providing there is space.
For an explanation of how to make timer
recordings, see page 29.

Turn on the recorder and switch the input
selector on your TV so that the signal from
the recorder appears on your TV screen.

Press PROG +/– to select the programme
position you want to record.
For details about selecting channels, see
page 19.

Press
z
REC.
Recording starts.
Recording stops automatically at the end of
the programme.
To stop recording
Select the programme position being recorded,
and press
x
REC STOP.
You can also stop the recording from the Title
List.

Press TITLE LIST to select the title, and press
ENTER.

Select “Stop Recording,” and press ENTER.

Select “OK,” and press ENTER.
Note that it may take a few seconds for the
recorder to stop recording.
To watch another TV programme while
recording
Press PROG +/– to select the programme position
you want to watch.

Hints
• You can also record the current TV broadcast using the
GUIDE display (page 24).
• While recording two programmes, two REC indicators
are lit on the recorder.
• You can also record radio programmes.

Notes
• After pressing
z
REC, it may take a short while to
start recording.
• If there is a power failure, the programme you are
recording may be erased.
• While recording two programmes, you can select only
the channels in same stream of recording channels.
To check recording information
Press DISPLAY during recording.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes as follows:
