Set Parental Rating

This function relies on the broadcaster sending the
correct rate classification for each programme.
Tuning
Makes tuner settings for the recorder.
After step 3 of “Digital TV Settings (DTV
Settings)” (page 40), select “Tuning” and press
ENTER.
The “DTV Settings - Tuning” menu appears.
Make the following settings.

Quick Tuning
Quickly presets all receivable channels in your
area.

Select “Quick Tuning,” and press ENTER.

Select the city you live in, and press ENTER.
See “Digital TV Channel List” (page 56) to
check the channels available in your area. The
display asks for confirmation.

Select “Start” and press ENTER.
All receivable channels are preset.

Press ENTER when “Finish” appears.

Auto Tuning
Presets all receivable channels.
If some channels cannot be preset after Quick
Tuning, try this.

Manual Tuning
Presets channels manually. If some channels could
not be set automatically, you can set them
manually.

Select “Manual Tuning,” and press ENTER.

Select the channel you want to preset.

Select “OK” and press ENTER.

Press ENTER when “OK” appears.
Repeat steps 2 to 4 to preset another channel.

Programme Hide
Disables unused or unwanted channels manually.
The disabled programme positions will be skipped
when you press PROG +/–, and will not appear in
the Programme List or the GUIDE.
