Chapter 5 Operating the AIT Drive

When “[ENTER] to activate”
appears, press the [ENTER] button.

The cleaning cartridge moves to the AIT drive, and cleaning begins.
Cleaning takes about 30 seconds. (No message is displayed to indicate that
cleaning is completed. Please simply wait for about 30 seconds.)

When cleaning is finished, use the Move Tape Menu to move the cleaning
cartridge form the AIT drive to the AIT library.

Use the “Eject Tape” of the Eject/Insert Menu to take out the cleaning
cartridge.

Press the [CANCEL] button twice to return to the status display.

Note

If an error occurs, repeat the cleaning procedure.
