6. COMMAND SPECIFICATION
This section includes all supported and unsupported SCSI commands. Elements of this section come from sections 7, 8
and 9 of the ANSI X3T9.2, SCSI interface specification.
There are different types of SCSI commands, each with a specific, required length (in bytes.) The majority of the
commands are 6 byte Group 0 commands. Group 1 & 2 commands are 10 bytes long. Note that the drive will wait until
the required number of bytes are transferred. At the termination of each command, the target sends a status byte to the
initiator. See the section on Status for more details. All SDT-10000/SDT-11000 SONY unique commands are in Group
7.
Group 7 commands are 6 bytes long.
