Output Board (OPM-11)
Operation
• Installed in the CPS-5000E, the board provides the video
output signals.
• The board consists of analog and digital signal circuits.

Analog signal circuit
The analog signal circuit receives at the buffer circuit
the video signals from the mother board and sends
them to the input of the character generator, where
the video signals are combined with character
signals. The combined signals are forwarded to the
output line of the mother board through the video
driver. The output board has eight video signal
circuits, for which eight signals are chosen by CN105
through CN112 out of 32 signals available from the
mother board.

Digital signal circuit
Micro-computer MC68HC11M0CFU4 (IC113)
provides the following functions:
(1) Command reception by the dual-port RAM
MB8421 (IC194)
To turn on or off character-generator display,
according to commands received.
(2) Data reception for controlling the character-
generator
To receive display data from the motherboard,
distribute them to each channel, and control
character-generator display.
