Chapter 3 Operation
Entering USER Mode when you Turn on the Device
Press the “DOWN”, “ENTER”, and “CANCEL” buttons simultaneously, and
then press the power switch on the rear panel.
Keep pressing the buttons until the display is changed from <<<ON LINE>>>
to <<USER>>.
Caution
• Before executing a USER mode command, make sure to shut down the host
computer or confirm that the application software is not running.
• While the application software is managing media or the store element
address information (mount status etc.), never use the commands associated
with media transfer listed below. Otherwise, the actual store element address
information may not match that of the application software, and the system
may not operate correctly.
- MOVE MEDIUM
- IMPORT MEDIUM
- EXPORT MEDIUM
- MAGAZINE XCHG
- FILL LIBRARY
- EMPTY LIBRARY
If the above precaution was not followed and the unit is no longer operating
normally, execute the USER mode command “OPERATION” - “CTG
INVENTORY” and then perform initialization with the application software.

Turning On the Unit
Turn on the S-AIT library power, then turn on the host computer power.

Press the power switch on the rear of the library.
“<<<ON LINE>>>” appears on the LCD panel, indicating that the unit is
in ON LINE mode.
Turn on the host computer, after this message appears on the LCD panel.
