Chapter 3 Operation
Operation Modes
This section presents detailed explanations about the ON LINE and USER
modes.
ON LINE Mode
When the device starts, it enters ON LINE mode and “<<<ON LINE>>>”
appears on the LCD panel.
When there is no error with the library and drives, the following information
usually appears:
LCD Panel Display
Upper line: Displays the current operation mode is ON LINE mode.
Lower line: Displays the picker position is in front of slot 20.
Operations
“UP” button:
Confirms the switching to USER mode.
“DOWN” button:
No associated functions.
“ENTER” button:
No associated functions.
“CANCEL” button:
No associated functions.
LED Display
POWER:
Green, lit
ERROR/WARNING: Off
Notes

USER Mode
When the device is in USER mode, you can use the buttons below to perform
operations.
LCD Panel Display
Upper line: Displays the current mode.
Lower line: Displays the menu.
There are the following three menus for USER mode.
INFORMATION:
Displays Inquiry and Serial Number.
OPERATION:
Performs some commands including REZERO UNIT.
CONFIGURATION: Sets up SCSI IDs and passwords.
