Notes:
- The measurement should be performed at both positions of the mains plug of the tested device and
as the result the higher current value should be accepted.
- The bandwidth of test current results from the measuring system with adjusted touch current which
simulates human perception and reaction, in accordance with EN 60990: 2002.
4.10 Measurement of leakage current in the primary circuit of the
welding machine using PAT IP adapter
Before performing the measurement, read the manual provided with PAT-IP adapter.
Following measurement method is recommended to check the welding machines (in
accordance with PE-EN 60974-4 standard).
The adapter may be used only with PAT-806 device to measure the leakage current in
the welding machine primary circuit. Any application that differs from those specified
in the present manual may result in danger to the user. Do not use the adapter as an
extension cord. Do not use the adapter for power measurements.
During the measurements performed on the welding circuit of the welding machine, the
high-voltage contactless module used for igniting /arc sustaining (ionizer, HF), if pre-
sent, should be disconnected or switched off.
