C. Adjust fuel quantity indicator (full) at the pilot’s panel
1. Maintain airplane nominal ground attitude, (1.0
°
±

°
for –100/200 and 0.15
°
±
0.25
°
for –
300/400/500) nose down, and wings level within
±
.25
°
during all phases of this test.
2. Obtain fuel sample and record fuel density on Worksheet 1.
NOTE: If gauge is calibrated in LB units, then density must be determined in LB/US GALLON units. If KG
units are utilized then the density in KG/LITER units must be obtained.
3. Fuel tank to full level using float switch shutoff, and record volume as defined on Placard or in AMM on
Worksheet 1.
ALTERNATE PROCEDURE: Close all but fueling valves of tank to be calibrated. Begin slowly filling tank
until a reading is indicated on the gauge (50 pounds or less), then immediately close tank valve. Using
the aircraft’s pumps, transfer fuel out of the tank until the pump “Low Press” indicators come on. Zero
the fuel truck meter.
Fuel tank to full level as defined on Placard or in AMM, and record the volume from the fuel truck
meter on Worksheet 1.
NOTE: As an alternate procedure the tank may be filled using the drip sticks or float switch shut off per the
AMM.
4. Open “FUEL QTY” circuit breaker.
5. Place “CAL-RUN” jumper in “CAL” mode for Center Tank.
6. Close “FUEL QTY” circuit breaker. The indicator will display “CAL”.
7. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously. The indicator will display “P01” for one
second and one analog segment will illuminate. After displaying “P01”, the display will change to show
the last entered value.
CAUTION: BUTTONS MUST BE PRESSED SIMULTANEOUSLY. WATCH DISPLAY WHILE PRESSING
BUTTONS TO VERIFY THAT THE PARAMETER HAS NOT CHANGED BEFORE THE NEXT
PARAMETER APPEARS.
8. Advance to parameter 3 and input the fuel density obtained in step 4.C.2.
NOTE: 6.763 LB/Gallon is displayed as 6763
0.8101 KG/Liter is displayed as 8101
NOTE: If actual density of fuel is outside the limits permitted for parameter P03, the limit closest to the
actual density should be entered. For example, if density is 6.437 lbs/gal, 6600 should be entered for
“P03”.
