9. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously. The indicator will advance to
parameter P04. After displaying “P04”, the display will change to show the last entered value.
10. Determine the fuel weight entered into the tank by multiplying the density obtained in step 4.C.2 by
volume of fuel added to tank.
NOTE: The fuel weight must be rounded to the nearest 20 or 50 units, depending on size of tank (as
allowed by indicator).
11. Enter the fuel weight value obtained in step 4.C.10 into the indicator for parameter P04.
12. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously. The indicator will advance to
parameter P05. After displaying “P05” the display will change to show “816”.
13. Press the “Press to Test” switch for the fuel quantity gages at the PILOT’S panel. The indicator will
count down from 60 and advance to parameter P06.
14. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously until parameter P10 is reached. Check
that value is reasonable for Wet Compensator.
15. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously to advance to parameter P11. Check
that value is reasonable for Wet Tank Probes.
16. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously until parameter P05 is reached.
17. Adjust the displayed value to the value obtained in step 4.D.14 for parameter P10, except with the last
digit truncated, by using the select buttons as required. For example, if “P10” is 11060, enter 1106 for
“P05”.
18. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously to advance to CAL.
19. Step through all parameters 1 through parameter P11, and record values on DCTU label. Worksheet 1
is also provided for record keeping purposes if so desired. Stop when indicator displays “CAL”.
20. Open “FUEL QTY” circuit breaker.
21. Place “CAL-RUN” jumper in “RUN” mode for Center Tank.
22. Close “FUEL QTY” circuit breaker. Verify the indicator displays full fuel quantity within 1%.
NOTE: For VTO airplanes only, accomplish steps 23 through 25.
23. Reduce fuel quantity in the tank by 20 percent.
24. Fuel tank and allow volumetric shutoff to occur.
EFFECTIVITY
25. Verify that fuel level has shut off within .5% of initial setting. If shutoff is unsatisfactory then repeat
calibration procedure.
