Creating a New File
You can create an MCS workstation configuration file to
define how the workstation connects to an MCS.
To create an MCS workstation configuration file, follow
these steps from the MCS Workstation window:
1. Choose
File
➞
Open
.
You see the Open MCS Workstation Configuration
File dialog box.
2. Type no more than eight characters in
File Name
for
the name of the file, and add the .
CFG
extension.
3. Click
OK
.
You see a prompt to create the new file.
4. Click
OK
.
You see the MCS Workstation window.
5. Configure the MCS connection settings by following
these steps:
a. Choose
Settings
➞
MCS connections
.
You see the MCS connections dialog box.
b. Add, delete, or rename an MCS by clicking the
appropriate button.
c. Click
Setup
, make any changes to an MCS
connection setting by referring to Table A–1 on
page A–12, and click
OK
.
You see the MCS Connections dialog box.
