Working with Workstation Configuration Files
A–9
Instead, you could create one or more new configuration
files for specific purposes. For example, if you use two
workstation ports with each connecting to a different
MCS, you create a unique configuration file for each
connection.
Or, if you use two workstation ports to connect to an MCS
with one port using a dialed connection and the other port
using a direct connection, you create the following
configuration files:
❐
DIALED.CFG
❐
DIRECT.CFG
The file name is not case sensitive, but you must use the
.CFG
file extension.
Before the MCS workstation can use a configuration file,
you must open the file. The file remains open until you
close it.
You use the Open MCS Workstation Configuration File
dialog box, available from
File
on the MCS Workstation
window, to open a configuration file.
