Identifying Main Components

This section identifies MCS shipped components and the
components you must supply for installation.

Shipped Components

The following main components are shipped with an
MCS:

MCS hardware components

■

MCS bridge

The MCS bridge hosts the software applications
you use to start and conduct conferences. The
MCS bridge connects to the networks through
network interface units and to MCS
workstations.

For the remainder of this guide, the term MCS
refers to the MCS bridge.

■

Monitor and keyboard

The monitor and keyboard connect to the MCS.
You use the monitor and keyboard for system
maintenance tasks, such as software backup and
restoration.
