Device Properties
The
Device Properties
dialog contains all information and settings of the chosen camera, provided
by the camera’s GenICam file.
General information about the camera selected from the list of discovered devices is displayed in the tab
Device Info
. Among others it contains the device name, firmware and hardware versions as well as the
current IP configuration. It is accessible already before a connection has been established.
The
Parameters
tab shown in Figure 67 shows the parameters of the camera and is only accessible while
a connection to the camera is established. It displays a tree of features extracted from the GenICam
description file of the camera and enables the adjustment of camera settings according to the needs of
the application.

According to the current settings of the camera, the acquisition can be started by pressing the
Start
button shown in Figure 68. To receive a continuous image stream from the camera, without having any
external trigger signals applied, it must be ensured that the
AcquisitionMode
is set to
Continuous
and the
TriggerMode
is set to
Off
.
