Motion Detection
By default, the Motion Detection function for each Motion Detection setting is set to Off . Select On to enable Motion
Detection. You can also activate the function in accordance with the schedule previously set in the Schedule setting
pane (see section 3.2.11). Select
By schedule and click the Please select… button to choose the desired schedule
from the drop-down menu.
Motion Region Setup (Motion Region Paint)
The camera divides the detection area into 1200 (40x30) detection grids. You can draw the motion detection region
using the paintbrush.
Check the Enable brush box and select the brush size: 1x1 , 3x3 or 5x5 . Then, left-click and drag the mouse cursor to
draw the preferred detection region. To erase the drawn detection region, left-click and drag the mouse cursor on
the colored grids.

You can adjust various Motion Detection parameters in this section.

Sampling pixel interval [1-10]
This item is used to examine the differences between two frames. You can configure the interval of sampling
pixel. The default value is 1. For instance, if you set the interval to 3, the IP camera system will take one
sampling pixel from every 3 pixels of each row and each column in the detection area (see the figure below).
The alarm will be triggered when differences are detected.

Detection level [1-100]
You can configure the detection level for each sampling pixel. The detection level indicates up to what level the
camera will accept the differences between two sampling pixels. The smaller the value, the more minor motions
it detects. The default level is 10.

Sensitivity level [1-100]
The default level is 80, which means that if 20% or more sampling pixels are detected to be different, the
camera will detect motion. The higher the value, the more sensitive it is and the lower the red horizontal line in
the motion indication window.
