3.4.3 SINGLE MOUNTING TRACK ASSEMBLY/TRANSDUCER INSTALLATION

NOTE: The following transducer and mounting track installation procedure applies to the

1020 Single Channel Remote wall mounted flowmeter.

z

Locate wall position to mount 1020 Single Channel Flowmeter.

z

Mount flowmeter and connect power cables as required (see drawing 1020-7).

z

Apply power to flowmeter.

z

Perform all required Installation Menu steps until the flowmeter issues the Number Index. Record
the number index value displayed in the [Pick/Install Xdcr] menu. 

This number index value will be

used to position the transducer.

z

Locate positions on pipe for transducer Single Mounting Track Assembly (see paragraph 3.3.2).

z

Place mounting straps around the pipe and the Mounting Track Assembly (Figure 1).

z

Tighten the mounting strap screws enough to take up all of the slack, but not enough to prevent
rotation of the assembly. Rotate the assembly on the pipe to the 9 o’clock position ensuring that
it is a smooth area without any raised spots or seams. Mark a generous area around the mounting
frame (1/2” on either side and half again the length front and back) with a pencil or chalk (Figure
2). Move or revolve the assembly away from the area marked (loosen straps if necessary to do
this).
