REFLECT MODE TRANSDUCER INSTALLATION

Single and Dual Mounting Track Assembly frames are the easiest way to mount transducers in the
Reflect Mode. The result is a rigid structure that eliminates spacing measurements, and maintains the
transducer-to-transducer geometry. In addition, Reflect mounting allows you to move the entire as-
sembly while maintaining the original transducer spacing

.

3.4.1 DUAL MOUNTING TRACK ASSEMBLY/TRANSDUCER INSTALLATION

NOTE: The following transducer and mounting track installation procedure applies to the 1020

Single Channel and 1020 Dual Channel Remote wall mounted flowmeters.

Locate wall position to mount 1020 Flowmeter.

z

Mount flowmeter and connect power cables as required (see drawing 1020-7).

z

Apply power to flowmeter.

z

Perform all required Installation Menu steps until the flowmeter issues the Number Index. Record
the number index value displayed in the [Pick/Install] menu. 

This number index value will be used

to position the transducers.

z

Select transducer mounting location (3 or 9 o’clock position) and prepare surface of pipe (Figure
1). Smooth irregular surfaces and clean pipe of dirt, grease and rust (see paragraphs 3.3.2 and
3.3.4).

NOTE: Mounting to painted surfaces is acceptable only if the paint is uniform and bonded

well to the pipe. If any pits or air bubbles are observed, paint must be removed or
another location should be considered.
