8.2 Checking and changing lubricants

BA 2010

Operating Instructions, 02/2018, A5E38093846A/RS-AC

Procedure

Switch off the power supply to the drive unit.

Remove the geared motor and set it down as illustrated in the figure. The screw plug

must be on the top.

Remove the screw plug

③

Make a mark

②

on a suitable dipstick

①

Insert the dipstick

①

vertically into the opening until the mark

②

is level with the surface

of the gearbox.

Pull the dipstick

①

out vertically.

Measure the distance "x" on the dipstick

①

Compare the value "x" with the value for distance "x".

Rectify the oil level if necessary and check it again.

10.Check the condition of the sealing ring on the screw plug

③

and replace the sealing ring

if necessary.

11.Seal the gearbox using the screw plug

③

12.Mount the geared motor.
You have now checked the oil level in the size 38 gearbox housing.
